Happy Monday subscribers, believe it or not, this is my first post of the year and before you ask, yes, yes, it has been a busy one so far! thank you to those who have joined me on the ride and collaborated with me on some of the exciting assignments that I have been offered - I’ve loved every moment of it and I’m really excited about what more the year has to offer.
So far so good!
I’m pleased to share that I have now wrapped up working on a feature film at Lucasfilm/ Disney as their Unit Stills/ Portrait Gallery Photographer (hence the radio silence).
Since then I have finally left the country (thanks Covid) and had a well-deserved trip to Rome. I have also worked with some lovely new clients as well as some of my regulars. My website has had a bit of a makeover too, so in case you’ve missed it, feel free to have a peek when you get a moment www.hayleybenoit.co.uk (feedback is always welcome too) - I have also invested in some new kit and if you have been following my Instagram feeds you may have noticed that I have now opened up my “Home” project and started shooting portraits in people’s homes around the UK.
For those of you who have missed some of my updates on my social pages, here is a quick recap of what I’ve been up to over the months.
2022 so far in Photos
C.Z. for Fortune Magazine April/May Issue
I love seeing my work in print, especially on the front cover of a magazine so I was super pleased with this one, last month I shot CZ (Changpeng Zhao) the CEO of Binance for the front cover of Fortune Magazine’s April/May 2022 issue, the portrait was shot at the Rosewood Hotel in London and assisted by Gabriel Bush.
“Nailed it” at DryBy for Courier Magazine
I also had my work published in Courier Magazine issue 46 April/May 2022. The images were shot at the DryBy nail salon in London.
THE “HOME” PROJECT IS NOW OPEN AGAIN FOR NEW PARTICIPANTS
I’ve now opened up my “Home” Project again and started shooting portraits in people’s homes around the UK.
The ongoing project, established in 2019 depicts living situations around the UK, documenting the relationship with the sitter and their personal space. Shot in various households each subject, disclose, age, occupation, how much they pay for rent/how much they purchased their home for and how long they have lived in their home.
If you’re interested in taking part in this project or know anyone that is please do get in contact. hayleybenoitphotography@gmail.com - I’d love to hear your story about your relationship with home, particularly during/after lockdown.
